Quake of magnitude 6.3 struck north of Tokyo at 9:38 PM, Japan time, on Wednesday.
It registered 6 minus on the Japanese seismic scale of 0 to 7 in the city of Takahagi, Ibaraki prefecture.
The focus was 10 kilometers deep.Tremors were felt in wide areas of eastern Japan.The Japan Meteorological Agency says there is no tsunami threat.NHK
