Bangladesh

At least 122 people have been killed in 'gunfights' with members of law enforcement agencies as part of the countrywide anti-narcotic drives since 15 May.

Nepal

International Criminal Police Organisation has issued Red Notice for 85 persons, including two foreigners, on the request of National Central Bureau, Kathmandu.

The government must seriously deliberate on matters of foreign polices to take the country to greater heights.


Sri Lanka
163 cocaine pills worth Rs.48.5 million have been recovered from two Brazilians after they were arrested by the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) at the Bandaranaike International Airport.

Sri Lanka, as a country that had experienced first-hand the suffering of its people due to terrorism, emphasized that a key pillar of counter-terrorism is prevention and addressing the root causes of conflict.

Sri Lanka has come a long way since voters in 2015 rejected the corruption, strife and repression of the past and threw their support behind a reform, reconciliation and accountability agenda, incoming US Ambassador to Sri Lanka and Maldives Alaina Teplitz said.


International

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres visited Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh, declaring that “nothing could have prepared me for the scale of the crisis and extent of suffering” he witnessed there.
