CPEC to bring trade revolution in Pakistan

Minister for Planning, Development, and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal said Wednesday that China’s economic cooperation will bring a trade revolution in Pakistan.
In a statement on economic cooperation between the two countries, the minister said the trade zones created by the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will include both Chinese and Pakistan’s industries.
He said the CPEC project is an important part of the trade revolution in Pakistan. “Trade zones will be created in the federal capital, all four provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Federally Administered Tribal Areas. Large-scale Chinese and Pakistani companies will invest in these trade zones.”
The minister further said that international economies world over are engaged in attracting Chinese investment. “Why should Chinese industries not come to Pakistan when they are being set up in most countries,” he said.
“The trade zones established under the CPEC project will not only create new jobs, they will also transfer new technology to Pakistan,” Iqbal said.
Earlier in February, the minister denounced the negative propaganda against the industrial cooperation between the two countries during a visit to the CPEC Excellence Center. He stated that that the circles responsible for spreading misinformation will not success in their nefarious designs.
Iqbal said that the CPEC project is reshaping the geo-economic scenario and it will prove to be a game-changer not only for Pakistan but the entire region. “We will have to exert extraordinary efforts for extraordinary results,” he said.
The CPEC project has been at the centre of various controversies with some separatist elements labelling it as the Sino-Pakistani colonisation. The project has witnessed strong opposition by local communities, ethnic groups, and leaders of the smaller provinces who believe Punjab will reap all the benefits, while using their lands and resources to implement the CPEC.

Goa BJP 13-2 Seats Out of 40, Cong 17 Governing Scam

Goa BJP 13-2 Seats Out of 40, Cong 17 Governing Scam
March14, 2017 (C) Ravinder Singh progressindia2015@gmail.com

When people have ‘Unseated ruling BJP Goa Government’ in latest election to Goa Assembly. Goa voters elected 21 BJP to 9 Cong MLAs in 2012 – the equation is reversed in 2017, BJP getting 13 seats to 17 Congress – but still BJP has been invited to form the government is Governing Scam.

Unstable Government – Allegations of Horse Trading already made
BJP is reported to have submitted a list of 21 MLAs supporting M. Parrikar. One should go as speaker another has to sacrifice to let M. Parikkar get elected as MLA – so real majority is no majority just 19 MLAs supporting CM.

In a house of 40 BJP was reduced to 13 seats in Goa assembly. Governor in Inviting Non Assembly member as CM knew that within 6 months he has to Get Elected to Goa Assembly and one of the elected member have to be sacrificed well in time to conduct Bye-Election.

So in real sense there shall be 12 elected members for full term of assembly and in addition has to ‘Contribute a SPEAKER’ leaving 11 seats for Goa in real sense.

‘He formerly served as Defence Minister of India. He was a member of the Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh, but later resigned after the Goa Legislative Assembly Election of 2017 where BJP is staking a claim to form government despite coming in as second largest party.’
He resigned from Rajya Sabha before staking claims to be Goa CM.

Asian countries meet in Pakistan

A Pakistani government official says representatives of 23 Asian countries are meeting in Islamabad to talk about creating a regional block similar to the European Union. The chairman of Pakistan’s upper house of the parliament, Raza Rabbani, addressed the gathering on Tuesday. He urged the participants to take steps to ensure “that the destiny of Asia must not be directed by the capitalist Western” states. However, with huge rivalries among the countries of the continent, the possibility of an Asian bloc similar to the EU is remote. India and Afghanistan have both sent envoys to the gathering, which comes amid increasingly tense relations the two of them have with Pakistan.

China’s new work on disputed South China Sea island

China’s new work on disputed South China Sea island

US South Korea and China diplomatic ties are in flux

15.03.2017 08:37:13 – US South Korea and China diplomatic ties are in flux.China has started fresh construction work in the disputed South China Sea, new satellite images show, a sign that Beijing is continuing to strengthen its military reach across the vital trade waterway.
(live-PR.com) – “President Trump stated that he looks forward to working with President Xi to develop a constructive relationship that benefits both the United States and China,”in letter Feb 9 said. Further in relation of US China, the US government has slapped $1.2 billion in fines on Chinese telecom giant ZTE for violations of US export controls for selling goods to
Iran and North Korea, officials announced Tuesday.
It is the largest criminal penalty in US history in an export control case, US officials said, though there have been larger fines involving financial firms. The company will immediately pay $892 million, while another $300 million in penalties are suspended for seven years.
ZTE also agreed to plead guilty to three charges, including obstructing justice for hiding information from government investigators, the officials said. The agreement is subject to court approval.
South Korean politician expected to become its next president, Moon Jae-in, called on China on Tuesday to stop economic retaliation against South Korean firms over the deployment of a US missile-defense system. Moon, speaking in a debate with other presidential contenders from the main opposition Democratic Party, said South Korea must stand up to China and protest against any unjust moves, but also make diplomatic efforts to resolve the issue. “It is also not desirable for China to harm our relationship with excessive retaliation,” Moon said. The Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) anti-missile system is likely to be a contentious issue in the campaign.
China has started fresh construction work in the disputed South China Sea, new satellite images show, a sign that Beijing is continuing to strengthen its military reach across the vital trade waterway.
Regional military attaches and experts believe the work shows China’s determination to build up its network of reefs and islets, even if it is seeking to avoid a fresh confrontation with the new administration of US President Donald Trump.
An image of North Island in the Paracels group taken on March 6 shows recent work including land clearing and possible preparation for a harbor to support what experts believe may be eventual military installations. Initial work was damaged in a typhoon last year.
The pictures, provided by private satellite firm Planet Labs, follow reports in January showing work undertaken on nearby Tree Island and other features in the Paracels, which are also claimed by Vietnam and Taiwan.
Diplomats briefed on latest Western intelligence assessments say Beijing is pursuing efforts to dominate its maritime ‘backyard’, even if it tweaks the timing of moves to avoid being overtly provocative.
“The Paracels are going to be vital to any future Chinese attempt to dominate the South China Sea,” said Carl Thayer, a South China Sea expert at Australia’s Defence Force Academy.
“We can see they are committed to militarization, whatever the official rhetoric tells us, even if they are going to do it bit by bit.”
The more widely disputed Spratlys archipelago to the south are higher profile but the Paracels are key to China’s presence in the South China Sea,
China has in recent years temporarily based surface-to-air missile launchers and crack jet fighters at long established bases on Woody Island on the Paracels, helping protect its nuclear submarine facilities on Hainan Island.
North Island is part of an arc of reefs that are expected to form a protective screen for Woody, which includes civilian facilities and a listening post.
Zhang Baohui, a mainland security expert at Hong Kong’s Lingnan University, said he believed China was pursuing long-held goals of strengthening its facilities in the Paracels, and had calculated the Trump administration would not over-react given other pressing priorities. “There’s also uncertainty with this young Trump administration, but this is very important work to the Chinese…the Paracels are vital to defending Hainan, which is in turn important to China’s nuclear deterrent,” he said.
“The calculation here is that it is really only Vietnam that will be rattled by this.”
The Vietnamese Foreign Ministry did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
China’s Defence Ministry said it was “not familiar” with any work at North Island.
“What needs to be stressed is that the Xisha Islands are China’s inherent territory,” it said, using the Chinese name for the Paracels. China fully occupied the Paracels in 1974 after forcing the navy of the-then South Vietnam off its holdings.
News of fresh Chinese activity comes as Rex Tillerson prepares for his first visit to the region as US Secretary of State later this week. Tillerson sparked alarm in Beijing when he said in January China should not be allowed access to islands it has built in the South China Sea.
A US official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, was unable to confirm new construction work on North Island but said it would not be surprising.
“It would be in line with what they have been doing, why else would they clearing land on the islands but for militarization,” the official said. “There is no other reason to have a presence there.”
Diplomatic sources in Beijing say China is not looking for confrontation with the United States over the South China Sea, pointing to China’s low-key reaction to last month’s patrol of a US aircraft carrier strike group in the waters there.
China has recently sought to portray itself as being conciliatory over the disputed waterway, saying it and Southeast Asian nations are committed to a peaceful resolution.
Last week, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said a draft code of conduct for behavior in the South China Sea had now been completed and that tensions had “distinctly dropped”

General election in the Netherlands kicks off,

Dutch voters started casting their ballots on Wednesday morning in a crucial legislative election, with pollsters predicting a close result. Most polling stations were set to open at 7:30am local time (6:30am GMT), but a few opened an hour earlier. An initial exit poll is expected after 9pm (8pm GMT) when the last polling stations will close. Around 13 million Dutch citizens are eligible to vote. Opinion polls conducted ahead of the vote show Prime Minister Mark Rutte’s center-right party narrowly leading the race, with far-right anti-Islam populist Geert Wilders’ party coming in second.

Performance of Election Commission – Total Mismanagement

March15, 2017 (C) Ravinder Singh progressindia2015@gmail.com
It is not suspect ‘Voting Machines’ but A-Z of the Election Commission is corrupted.
1.     When polling in Punjab and Goa was over on February04, 2017 the result should
have been announced next day – Booth wise results could have been announced soon after end of polling. The process in UP was too long spread over 7 phases.

2.     It is Scandalous that Voting Machines were kept in Lock Up for 35 days before
these were activated to give Voting Data.

3.     It is even more Scandalous that Candidates were given just 20 days to Campaign
after final list of contestants was released but kept EVMs in Lock Ups for 35 days.

4.     In case of Punjab final list of candidates was released on Jan27, 2017 and polling
was on February04, 2017. It humanly not possible for even the most resourceful candidate to meet over Half Million voters or Electors.

This is Most Lunatic – Campaign Time 10 Days – EVM Guarding 35 Days.

5.     This only FAVORED RESOURCEFUL CANDIDATES & PARTIES but went against
Qualified or Less Resourceful, Honest Candidates and Party.

6.     Election Commission has no Control Over ‘Private But Politically & Corporate
Owned TV Channels and Even Newspapers’.

7.     Some parties were getting Day & Night Coverage – others totally blacked out.

99% of Candidates and 95% Winners Had No Access To Media. 5-10 minutes Exposure on TV Channels Could Have Been Ensured. A Single Dedicated DD Punjab Channel for example could allow 10 Hr of Campaign Daily – serve 72 Candidates in a day – covered all in 20 days. Why can’t EC do it like in past?

8.     Election Commission has No Control Over ‘Malicious & Abusive and Illegal
Campaigning even by Ministers & MPs [Public Servants] in favor of their Candidates’.

9.     Instead of ‘Piyush Goyal’ releasing Malicious Data through ‘Press Conference’ EC
could have asked all Central & State Ministries to ‘Publish Their Monthly Reports for December2016 in case of Punjab and Goa, Jan2017 in case of UP.’ So that Media & Candidates can communicate Correct INFO to Voters.

97% of Villages Electrified On March2014 – In 3 Years Even 3% Villages Could Not Be Electrified is real perspective.

10.  DULLARDS in EC don’t understand that it must register CANDIDATES say a year before elections. This is to keep out CRIMINALS, UNQUALIFIED, CHEATS, POLL EVE SHIFTING OF ALLIANCES, TICKET SALES and all kinds of Malpractices.

Hundreds of Helicopters & Public & Pvt Jets in UP,
Big Rallies, Big Road Shows Costing Rs.10 Cr-Rs.100 Cr
but Candidates didn’t get time to Speak.

11.        Indira Gandhi was Unseated for Using An Ambassador Car – Hundreds of
Helicopters & Public & Pvt Jets were engaged in this election.

12.        When EC has restricted Expenditure to say Rs.10 Per Voter for all activities
over 30-40 days – Big Rallies & Road Shows cost Rs.500 per person day or more. TV Coverage Twice More by so many channels.
